Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be a Deputy Monitoring Officer who will lead and develop democratic services, member support, information governance and electoral services for the City of Sheffield. You’ll provide strategic advice to senior officers and elected members on our modern committee system and our wider assurance framework. As an Assistant Director you will be a senior manager, ensuring that there are effective arrangements for core elements of governance and enabling the council to make the right decisions in line with our objectives and securing local democracy and a culture of openness and transparency. Additionally, you will be part of the senior leadership team of the General Counsel, playing a key role in fostering a culture of innovation, great governance, and continuous improvement within the organisation.
