Corporate Director of Children and Education Services

Location: Nottingham

Salary: up to £162,000

Reference: A000537

Status:

With a clear sense of ‘what good looks like’, our Children and Education Services team is making significant headway against an aspirational agenda, and monitoring visits confirm that we’re making consistent advances. Of course there’s plenty still to do; but our Improvement Board is effective and engaged, culture and morale are healthy, and the quality and impact of practice gets better every day.

We’re looking for an experienced and effective leader of change with a track record of delivering high-performing services. You must understand the breadth of the portfolio, and be able to build credible, collaborative relationships within and beyond the council. It will be important that you can articulate an inspiring picture of our future, and motivate teams to understand how they can help achieve it. With an assured and positive leadership style, you’ll be able to communicate standards and expectations clearly at every level.
