The new Corporate Director of Highways and Parking will play a vital and visible role in keeping the borough moving and accessible to all. You’ll be accountable for customer service, sustainable transport, parking enforcement, maintenance, management of the network and capital projects across the highway network. Candidates should bring a strong track record of effective leadership within a similar role, and a deep understanding of the importance of customer focus across the portfolio.

You will lead a broad portfolio that touches the everyday experience of residents and overseeing services that are central to public confidence, including:

  • Highways
  • Parking and Network Management
  • Sustainable transport and The Hive
  • Flood risk coordination and management
