Welcome to Wiltshire, a thriving county rich in history and beautiful landscape. Home to half a million residents, our community is a blend of bustling towns and charming villages, with half of our population living in areas with fewer than 10,000 people. Despite being a rural county, we also boast large urban towns and major transport links via the M4.

Here at Wiltshire Council, our proactive approach to budget setting through prevention and early intervention enables us to be ready to face future challenges. We prioritise long-term planning, focusing on what’s best for Wiltshire.

Our ambitious business plan outlines our priorities and how we aim to achieve them by collaborating closely with local communities and partners. We adopt a whole-life approach to service planning and delivery, including our ambitious goal to achieve net zero carbon.  We are also investing in technology to make it easier for residents and businesses to interact with us and resolve issues swiftly. 

I am now looking for three ambitious, inclusive and agile senior leaders to join our Corporate Leadership Team to continue to build upon our successes and ensure we remain one of the highest performing unitary authorities.
