Welcome to Cornwall Council.

Dear candidate,

Thank you for your interest in the role of Service Director, Education and Community Health and welcome to Cornwall Council.

This is a great time to join our incredible Teams delivering Education and Community Health services and to be a part of our good work and dedication to achieving the best opportunities and the best outcomes for children across all our communities in Cornwall. Our plans are pioneering and we’re confident about our future.

Our Together for Families model is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and we are proud of the work we do, however we are always striving for better to ensure that Cornwall is a brilliant place to be a child and to grow up.  We put the rights of children and young people at the front and centre of everything we do and we have set our priorities after listening carefully to what the young people who live here care about.

Our Service Director for Education and Community Health holds a remit that will be certain to provide a unique opportunity for professional growth and development here in Cornwall whilst at the same time, be part of our strategy to transform our services and enhancing the offer to children and families in our communities. We seek a new Service Director with the drive, energy and expertise to match our ambitions.

If you are interested in being a part of an outstanding Service in an organisation that has been shortlisted for Council of the Year 2023 and has been described as a kind and exciting place to work by staff, please do get in touch with our recruitment partners, Faerfield.

Wishing you the best of luck with your application.
