The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales is an important and integral part of the Welsh Public Sector providing an independent and impartial service to consider failures in service delivery and allegations of breaches of the Councillors’ Code of Conduct. We help thousands of people every year and make an important contribution to improving public services as well as holding publicly funded organisations to account.

We are now looking for a talented Executive Director of Corporate Resources to join our executive team and provide strategic leadership, of our corporate functions, ensuring strong governance, sound financial management and risk management. This pivotal leadership role will also provide the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to lead on our strategic planning and business plan processes working collaboratively with colleagues internally and external stakeholders.
Already operating at a senior level, you bring experience of delivering organisational change and service improvement within a public sector context and be capable of motivating teams to strive for excellence through strong communication and effective leadership skills.
