Thank you for your interest in this important leadership opportunity with the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales (PSOW).
PSOW plays a vital role within the Welsh public sector, providing an independent and impartial service that upholds fairness, accountability and high standards in public life. Each year, we support thousands of individuals by investigating concerns about failures in public service delivery, as well as allegations of breaches of the Councillors’ Code of Conduct. In doing so, we make a meaningful contribution to improving public services and holding publicly funded organisations to account. At the heart of our work is a clear and enduring principle that the people of Wales should feel confident they are treated fairly and that effective action will be taken when things go wrong.
The Executive Director of Corporate Resources is a pivotal role within our leadership team, providing strategic leadership across our corporate functions and ensuring excellence in governance, financial stewardship and risk management. You will also play a central role in shaping and delivering our strategic and business planning processes, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to support the organisation’s continued impact and effectiveness.
This is a genuine opportunity to contribute at the highest level within an organisation that makes a tangible difference across Wales. If you bring the professional expertise, leadership capability and commitment to public service that we are seeking, we would be delighted to hear from you.
