East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) is a unique authority representing a region with a rich cultural history and exceptionally diverse geography with our world class cities, heritage towns and rural counties. We have a wide range of industries and natural assets as well as world renowned universities and our central location provides superb links to the rest of the UK and internationally.
Our Mayor, Claire Ward and leaders across Derbyshire, Derby, Nottinghamshire and Nottingham have an impressive determination to make a difference in the region. EMCCA has already unlocked billions of pounds of investment for our region through our devolution deal with the government and there is more to do as we move deeper into robust delivery.
There are therefore huge opportunities for future placemaking, economic growth and even greater devolution across the East Midlands. This role will drive forward the delivery of housing development and infrastructure projects in the region.
As Director for Housing and Regeneration you will lead development and delivery of EMCCA’s extensive housing and regeneration policy and delivery programmes, co-ordinating pioneering approaches to place-based working and negotiating landmark funding deals and partnerships with public and private sectors.
You will also champion and co-develop inclusive housing, land and development policy and strategy in the region including directly with Whitehall and with local authority partners and local communities.
An exceptional leader able to grow and develop high performing teams at pace and be excited at the prospect of joining an ambitious, forward-thinking, growing organisation where you can deliver significant impact and demonstrate just how good you can be.
