The Wales Pension Partnership (WPP) brings together the eight Welsh Local Government Pension Scheme funds into one investment management company, with assets of more than £25bn.

Wales Pension Partnership is establishing a new investment management company, WPP IM Co, to serve the eight Welsh Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds, managing over £25bn in assets for 412,000 members.

WPP IM Co is currently in mobilisation and will begin regulated operations following FCA authorisation in 2026. It represents a transformational opportunity to build a centre of excellence in LGPS investment management in Wales – combining institutional capability and discipline with a distinctly Welsh purpose.

The company will operate to the standards expected of leading global institutions, delivering strong long-term returns for scheme members while contributing to sustainable economic growth and community benefit across Wales and the UK. At launch, WPP IM Co will be a professionally staffed investment manager of around thirty people headquartered in Wales.
