Children and Family Services
Our priority is to ensure that children in Leicestershire build strong foundations , be safe and belong and enjoy and achieve.
We are ambitious and aspirational for the children, young people and families we support and for our workforce. We work hard to create a safe environment for good practice to flourish leading to the delivery of high quality services .
In July 2024 following our Ofsted inspection services for children and families in Leicestershire were graded as outstanding. We're so proud of this achievement and know that it reflects all of the hard work and commitment of all of the colleagues within Children and family Services.
We aim to make Leicestershire a better place for all children, young people and their families by creating a safe and inclusive environment where they can achieve their potential, and have their health, wellbeing, and life chances improved within thriving communities.

Our vision in Leicestershire for children with special educational needs and disabilities is the same as for all children and young people – for them to belong, to achieve well in their education, to be cared for in safe and supportive families, participate and be involved in their communities and lead happy, safe and fulfilled lives.
