Director of Adult Social Care

Location: Salford

Salary: Up to £107,000

Reference: A000869

Status:

In Salford, we’re deeply committed to working in partnership with the people we support and their carers, ensuring that our focus remains on what truly matters to them. This vision is summed up in our mission statement: ‘Working with communities and partners so every person can lead fulfilling, healthy, safe, and independent lives.’

But there’s still more to do. While good progress has been made in recent years, the fact remains that too many people in Salford aren’t living as long as the most well-off in society, and spend longer living with ill-health. That’s why our new corporate plan, ‘This is our Salford’, includes ‘Healthy lives and quality care for all’ as one of our seven strategic objectives, and we’re committed to adopting the Marmot principles across the city.

So we’re looking for someone who will lead the delivery of statutory and provider adult social care services with passion, experience, and ambition - services infused with the Spirit of Salford. Our new Director will embed a culture of the highest professional standards, working with service users and delivery partners alike to deliver outstanding strengths-based practice. Candidates must bring exceptional expertise, insight and system-level understanding of this complex and challenging service area, as well as personal resilience and an inspiring leadership style.
