Service Director Integrated Commissioning

Location: Plymouth

Salary: £85,023 - £118,213

Reference: A000841

Status:

Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, is well on the way to becoming one of the most vibrant waterfront cities in Europe, where an outstanding quality of life is enjoyed by everyone. We want to be a healthy city, whose people live in happy, healthy, safe and aspiring communities, where social, economic and environmental conditions and services enable choices that add quality years to life and reduce the gap in health and wellbeing between communities. We’ve got great partnerships and leadership in place across the system, and we firmly believe we can achieve our ambitious vision.

Effective Integrated Commissioning is a fundamental pillar of our success, underpinning a city-wide ecology of care and wellbeing. Our new Service Director will able to work effectively across a complex and multi-disciplinary context, capitalising on our considerable strengths and excellent track record. Building positive and collaborative relationships with partners including health and the voluntary sector, you’ll oversee an already high-performing team with the potential to become even better.

You’ll bring extensive experience of commissioning, procuring and overseeing high-quality, innovative and flexible services. A comprehensive grasp of children’s and adults’ social care, as well as housing and public health, would be a distinct advantage, as would the ability to shape and embed a genuinely integrated approach – so that whether you’re growing up or growing old, Plymouth is a great place to be.
