Service Director Adult Social Care

Location: Plymouth

Salary: Up to £118,000

Reference: A000816

Status:

Plymouth is Britain’s Ocean City. It’s our ambition to become one of the most vibrant waterfront cities in Europe, where an outstanding quality of life is enjoyed by everyone. We want to be a healthy city, whose people live in happy, healthy, safe and aspiring communities, where social, economic and environmental conditions and services enable choices that add quality years to life and reduce the gap in health and wellbeing between communities.

Promotion has created an exciting opportunity to be our next Service Director for Adult Social Care. The team and service are in robust shape, and we’ve pioneered a number of courageous firsts in recent years, but we’re never complacent, and we always strive to improve. Priorities will include responding to our forthcoming CQC inspection, ensuring our contracting and commissioning relationships are healthy and effective, and maintaining the highest standards across all services.

You’ll need extensive senior leadership experience in adult social services, and a sophisticated grasp of emerging delivery models will be a definite advantage. If you’re looking for an organisation with clarity of purpose, and the scope to really develop your career, this could be the one for you.
