Our 31 stations cover over 1.3m square miles of varied terrain from wild moors and scenic coastal towns to high technology facilities and major tourist attractions. We work in close partnership with a range of public and private organisations and our commitment to partnership working is fundamental to how we operate. This spirit of shared purpose with all of our partners has driven innovation, notably the Tri-Service programme, and is pushing the boundaries of future collaborative working across public services.

As part of Cornwall’s Brigade Management Team, we want our new Assistant Chief Fire Officer to continue to build on our many strengths and improvement to support the delivery of the CRMP with passion, pride and professionalism. You will be encouraged to think innovatively and strategically, recognising the importance of a healthy, inclusive culture whilst providing effective operational leadership to over 700 highly committed colleagues.

Candidates will need to be educated to degree level (or equivalent) qualification in an appropriate discipline, provide clear evidence of continuous professional development, evidence experience at Level 4 (Gold) Incident Command or equivalent (MAGIC) and you will be completing an Executive Leadership Programme or similar.
