We are committed to creating vibrant and sustainable communities, where every resident and business feels valued and empowered to thrive. Our vision focuses on the needs of the borough, including investment-led regeneration, with several projects complete and others in progress.
As we look to the future we are looking to recruit two new director roles: Director of Communities and Director of Place, providing senior leadership across a dynamic portfolio of services.
As we move closer to Local Government Reorganisation, we will continue to work with our partners to advocate for Erewash to get the best deal for our residents, businesses and employees.
To achieve our vision requires excellent leaders and we are delighted to be offering these two senior leadership roles. These two newly created roles will contribute to the great work that continues to be carried out at Erewash to make the borough great for our residents, businesses and visitors.
We operate a 'Stronger Erewash' framework amongst our team. It aims to bring together some direction from the senior leadership team for the key things we should be working on, whilst giving freedoms and empowering teams to take local action.
The Director of Place will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities including markets, waste management and environmental health. This is an important role as there is lots happening in Erewash right now across these service areas, including the recent introduction of a food waste collection service. .
The Director of Communities will be responsible for a portfolio that includes the award-winning Erewash Museum, community safety, grants, and Local Government Reorganisation.
I have been at Erewash for four years and have seen many positive changes during that time as we focus on our priorities of economy and regeneration; supporting communities; sustainable environment and a modern council. Erewash is a place where people want to live, work, visit or invest. By working with us you will help to ensure the future prosperity and sustainability of the borough.
We are thrilled to welcome applications for our senior leadership roles and I invite you to explore our dedicated site to find out if we are the right fit for you.
