Service Director All Age Commissioning

Location: Hereford

Salary: £92,506 - £97,453

Reference: A000836

Status:

Our overarching vision is ‘Delivering the best for Herefordshire in everything we do’, and Herefordshire’s people are top of our list of priorities. It’s vital that our residents can realise their potential, be healthy and to be part of great communities that support each other. We are diversifying and building the prevention and community offer to ensure residents live and age well at home and in the community. Moreover, we are determined that all children should have the best start in life.

We moved to an innovative ‘All Age’ model of commissioning in 2022, followed by the adoption of a ‘life-course’ approach in 2024. Today, we’re a high-performing, effective service with a strong culture, ambition, and reputation. But the operating environment has never been more challenging, so we’re looking for a new Service Director who can keep us at the forefront of practice and effectiveness in this fast-changing area.

You must bring extensive and varied experience of leadership within commissioning services for people, and an understanding of the All Age model would be a distinct advantage. You will already be thinking of transformative models of commissioning and ways to modernise care service delivery, for all ages, across a rural geography. You will have an inspiring, collaborative approach to leading and embedding service transformation, working closely with the provider market and our residents.
