Faerfield are delighted to be working with a local authority to recruit an Interim Strategic Lead - Planning.

The assignment will focus on defining the overall spatial strategy framework, including scope, principles and evidence requirements, alongside developing a clear roadmap for delivery. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in strategic or regional planning, with the ability to lead multi-agency programmes and operate in politically sensitive environments. A collaborative and systems-thinking approach will be key, particularly in establishing alignment across partners and setting the direction for future growth, land use and infrastructure investment. The initial engagement is short-term with potential to extend, operating largely remotely with periodic stakeholder engagement.
