Interim Director for Children's Services
Reporting to the Executive Director of Children's Services, this strategic leadership role will drive the council’s children’s social care transformation agenda.
Key responsibilities include leading Families First reform, strengthening professional social work standards, overseeing quality assurance and performance improvement, and fostering effective multi-agency safeguarding partnerships.
The successful candidate will be a registered social worker with significant senior leadership experience in local authority children’s services, a strong track record of leading complex change, and deep knowledge of safeguarding legislation and policy.
